Question for "mcgoo422000"
Why do you consider my suggestion a load of crap?
I TRULY and GENUINELY believe that the original suggestion posted below was meant to help "whtlinefvr" get into trucking without getting popped on a drug test or PREVIOUS alcohol conviction. As you probably already know, a lot of trucking companies go back at least 5 or more years to be sure that people applying for truck drivers jobs have not been popped for drugs or PREVIOUS alcohol convictions. This has NOTHING to do with preaching. It has to do with compliance with both federal regulations and individual trucking companies standards.

In the next SIX years, get both as physically fit and nutritionally fit as possible. Rid your body of as much impurities as possible with both intense physical exercise, proper eating habits, and drinking enormous amounts of water and herbal teas to flush your body of all impurities, which will probably include drug residue.
I suggested SIX years because this will also give you much needed additional time to also maintain a CLEAN record, (MVR, credit report, legal matters if there are any, and all personal affairs). For you, the biggest task is to TOTALLY & COMPLETELY clean out your body and keep it that way!
In SIX years from now, you will be able to go to any trucking company of your choice and NOT have a single worry about any type of physical, physical fitness test, or any type of drug screening test at all. All the hard work that you did to cleanse yourself and otherwise prepare for driving a truck will be behind you.
God bless you and your family! God bless the U.S.A.!

Perhaps the Blood Alcohol Level, (BAC), should be lowered to .001% for ALL professional drivers with a Commercial Driver's License.
Also, this would be an excellent idea for all other drivers as well, lowering the BAC to .001%.
Truthfully, there is NO EXCUSE for having any alcohol or drugs in your system while driving any type of motor vehicle.
Safety is the #1 criteria. -
Funny what the word "safety" makes people want.
The lowest detectable level of alcohol is considered to be .002. Intoxilizers do not detect alcohol, but Methyl compounds, and the body is capable of producing several, so many will show a reading. In other words a person may have never drank yet may read .001 or more. They may even read above .002, but have never drank in their life. Between .002 and .004 the rational is that it "probably" is alcohol, but one is not under the influence so no dui, but you are oos to be certain. There are individuals that can be .004 or above and have never drank (They are the exception). Long story short, to lower it to .001 would likely put even you off the road in the name of safety.

Still a load of crap a MVR only goes back 3 THREE years and I'd never volunteer information thats not on one. Take a copy of your mvr to a job interview and only allow whats on it. I don't know why the hollier than thou crowd always wants the rest of the world to prostrate itself before everyone?
Until they are caught up in the same mess as everyone else is then it's all different. If Op wants to drive that bad he can get his own truck and insurance and have it or there could be some company out there willling to give him a chance. But first thing he should do is know for fact what will show up on his MVR and see if possible to get it expunged. So you go wait six years someone could starve to death in six years. Wonder where the I wouldn't let you work in micky d's crowd is? There's always a bunch of "perfect" people here to offer worthless opinions.whtlinefvr and Wanderer1 Thank this. -
I've talked to some folks and I should be able to land something after the 3 years is up. Doubtful it will be any sooner. It can be expunged from the criminal record only.
