Pottles out of Bangor, ME. Ashley Furniture is hiring within 50 miles of Bangor, at least they were. Superior Carriers in Auburn, HO Wolding, just look to see who is in the state often or is from Maine. I also believe that Holland Enterprises out of Fargo, ND is hiring out of Southern Maine but I would call to make sure. They are definitely OTR though. Hope this helps.

H.O.Wolding trucks are pure JUNK! old, small flat top sleepers, NO JUMP SEAT as they haul water loads from Poland Springs.
Mostly to Long Island and northern N.J.

I've been waiting to finish my day just to prove every single one of your points wrong, and because I drive for Wolding, I can.

Junk: Check out our CSA score, most notably, our maintenance score. You will see that it is very hard to beat and I know for a fact that company you mentioned doesn't even come close. Yes, I have a million mile truck. Yes, I put a 150,129 miles down last year with it and no major breakdown. As soon as I get to the yard, I will be getting an upgrade with an APU. The only reason I'm getting one is because I have to go to California and the CARB is putting more restrictions on carriers. Otherwise, I would keep the one I have because it's reliable and pulls like a champ. Also, we are in the process of implementing 100+ new Cascadias into the fleet by April of next year. As our fuel director put it, " we would be stupid not to with interest rates so low".

Small trucks: Only the northeast regional drivers get them, and all of them come with jump seats unless the driver requests that it is removed. They do this usually for space to put a cooler. I've seen guys with midroofs do this because they have no need for the seat, a waste of space. I rode out to the yard in a water truck after I finished training, I sat in a seat the entire way. Also, the majority of the fleet are 70" midroofs as the majority of our drivers don't live in the northeast, seeing as they only have one terminal in Wisconsin. We also have double bunk condos for trainers and teams.

Water loads: The majority of our water loads go out to New York along the Thruway. Yes we do go to NYC and northern Jersey, but I've personally taken water loads to Michigan, Iowa, Pennsylvania, buti most of the time it's along I-90. I've heard recently of water loads that went to Colorado, Georgia, and North Carolina, but those are every so often.

We also haul paper out of Maine, who doesn't, and doing that I've gone to Wisconsin and South Dakota. Right now I'm on a paper load going to Wisconsin. I'm in no way trying to sway anyone reading this, I just hate false information. And by the way, Wolding goes to all 48, I've been to all but RI, WV, MD, GA, FL, and LA.

Also, got to thinking about other companies that hire out of Maine. Poly Trucking, Grand Island Express, and Fremont Contract Carriers all do I believe, but you should check just to make sure. Hope this helps.
