Dang, i know how to pull up the codes on a CAT engine.

Each engine manufacturer has it's own system for pulling codes up. On most, you turn the cruise control button to "off" and then hold down the "ACC" switch till the "check engine" light starts blinking. Then you count the flashes and it will be the fault code. If you have your owners manual for the truck or MBE engine, it will list how to pull the codes up.

TO count the flashes, here's an example:

blinks 3 times then a short pause and flashes 5 more times. That would be code 35..... 4 flashes, pause, 7 flashes is code 47. Make sense?

The info is in the ENGINE owners manual, not the trucks owner manual, sorry about that. I have no clue about MBE engines, but I'm sure there is a way to figure it out.

I have an 05 western and my data star doesnt always read accurate information. Or more accurately certain items or wrong and some are correct.
For example my tach, fuel %, trips, torque and others will read correct all the time. and items like turbo boost, exhaust temp will not.
Is there a way to correct these?

    Thx
