I was told it was 2 percent of the navigo, which is practical route.

You get paid zipcode to zipcode. Practical miles are not paid. Navigo is true miles, your qualcomm trip miles are what you are paid. Yes it sucks. I'm delivering three drops in Cypress,TX tomorrow without getting paid.

When I was there, OOR was based on your routed miles. NOT the paid miles. The routed miles are what you are more or less expected to run. The paid miles are what they are.

I know this is true for OTR Van drivers:

All miles between 0-25 are paid at a rate of $25+ Mileage pay. All stops after the first are an additional $15 each. You are indeed getting paid for those deliveries in the city. If you aren't then you need to go show the VTL hand book to your DBL and inform him/her that you are being shorted pay.

Edit: Just wanted to clarify that the 0-25 includes all loaded miles, so if you drove over the 25 from the Shipper to the Consignee then you change pay scale. But you would still get the $15 per stop.

And that's how it still is.

The problem is that their routing is generally garbage and completely ignores common sense half the time. Every modern GPS can take current traffic conditions and route you the best way according to that. They also seem to have a thing for sending trucks up the side of a mountain on a goat trail because the interstate was 40 miles longer, never mind you just wasted 4 hours climbing that mountain in 4th gear it was shorter so it must have used less fuel right?

My Predictive Cruise failed about 2 months ago. Haven't had any problems, Cruise sstill worked, I just had a CEL and no Predictive cruise for the hills. Was waiting until PM to get it fixed. Now tonight the Adaptive Cruise in the Onguard system took a crap, Now my cruise is completely dead. Going to be a long night of standing on the pedal. I'm not sure why they found it necessary to kill the Cruise all together just because OnGuard stops working.

Here's my stats today. In usually well into 25% over speed daily when I'm on interstates. Today was a lot of back roads. U can see your stats every day on the Qualcomm. uploadfromtaptalk1356745248968.jpg

This made me bust out laughing...the visual image of someone trucking up a foot path, honking their air horn, waving their arm out the window, and yelling at the goats to get out of the way.

I hate that road. I took them a lot when first starting out driving, but then I got wise to the situation. My favorite parts are when the road makes a sharp curve and you can't make it without overtaking the on coming traffic lane where you can't see if a car is coming. Yeah, good times.

Ye, the worst one I every took was US40 and SR43 across PA. Could only go up at 10MPH and the downhill speed limit was 10 MPH. I decided to follow the route without checking it. Should've just taken I79 down to I68 and then across WV/Maryland, would've saved several hours I'm sure. I also took some tiny little backroad through Maryland and came up to a bridge marked 13'6" It wasn't high enough at the edges, I had to go right down the middle and even then only cleared by a couple inches. I won't be doing that again.
