Well its new at this company because ive never driven 55 in cali. And thats why I posted it on my companies thread and not another.
-
CA does have speed limit signs posted for cars and trucks. If you are doing more than 55mph then you are speeding in CA. A QC does know where you are since it has a build in GPS. They can determine your speed based upon distance and time.
DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
Oh wow you have to be kidding me. That's crazy.

That technology has been around for years now... we lovingly refer to it as "Satellite Tracking" and your dispatcher can look at your location, speed and now, logbooks (paperless logs). Some even can tell if your seat belt is being worn, if your drifting out of your lane, if you are following too close...
My truck knows when I pass gas.
Just sayin'

I know its been around for years. its crazy that you actually get a message if you're going over 55

Also depends on the company. Our company doesn't do that. Only time we get a message is for out of route. It shows the city, state, and latitude/longitude

They ve always known where we were on the road. But this is a whole new level. They re prob sending lots of messages barely any one goes 55

I wouldn't either. I run foot to the floor most places
