IP got the most of it but as a company drive you will be charged for installing your TV, Fridge etc. Anything that the truck requires like chain rack, you DO NOT get charged, Also, get with your FM when you find out who it is, They can arrange payments for ANYTHING, including the TV install and anything you need to get at the company store, Locks, atlas, pads, paper. etc. all can be put on the truck acct and paid over time. Good luck, get your butt in there and get your own truck

Most of the process for checking out a truck is the same for a company guy or a lease guy... the details of who pays for what though differ - and then there's that evil ol' lease. It's been like since the beginning of time since I did that on the company side, so the ol' memory bank is beginning to get overwritten on some of the details - LOL!

Good to know I can have a payroll deduction for this stuff...I sure don't have the coin to do it all at once!! Thanks !!!

Also don't forget to grab a gal. Of each; oil,anti-freeze,windshield washer fluid and a bottle or two of anti-gel and power steering fluid. I buy the packets of fifth-wheel grease at the t/s, also additional items that i have are shop towels, glass cleaner, grease gun, snow shovel, ice melt, bolt cutters, duct & electric tape, mechanics tools, zip ties, bungy cords, tow strap, snow brush/scraper,airline with gald hand, push broom etc.... like ip said I dont want to be sitting for 3-4 hrs waiting on someone to take care of a minor problem when I can do it myself and keep roll'n. Hope this helps.

Bigox3k Thanks this. -
Thanks, CT!! I'm assuming the company gives those items out to Company Drivers as needed?
-
Yeah, any spare parts like wipers bulbs oil antigel etc, all free to company drivers
-
Right On!!

You can get the fluids as necessary at your fuel stops. Just add them on when you're entering the transaction into the pump. It's easier if you just do 1 item at a time.

Agreed! No sence in cluttering up the "cute truck" with extras.... I could use the extra space for the subwoofer for the surround sound!!
