if you have a delivery inside the circle you can go straight thru, Just stay in the right lanes and watch your speed......

 

I've driven straight thru when I wasn't supposed to more than once never been bothered.
And if you're deljvering inside the Circle you should be ok anyway.

 

I get there before the deadline, I am not an Airline. If that is not a feel good thing, CALL and ask where they want it. I have been on Peachtree a lot. Right down town. CALL first. Talk is the best medicine.

 

I was there last week. Had deliveries in downtown @17:00. Talk about fun with a 53' and Cascadia with sleeper turning into shopping centers for deliveries.

 

i have a delivery off university avenue all the time. when i do have that run, it delivers at 4am. i have never had a cop even blink at me much less give me a second glance.

 

I've been down to the Georgia Dome and Phillips Arena many times and never had a problem. Just watch, there are a few one ways that can get tricky.

 

I've been riding through there over 20 years without any problems. They do have days they will periodically stop drivers. Sometimes they have construction on 285 or an accident and allow drivers to run the middle. The millage is only a noticeable difference going straight through on I20. I don't think you'll have a problem. Since you have a manifest for inside the perimeter, its on them if they cause you any trouble. I never hesitate to run the middle if 285 is shut down. The worst thing that they do is just write you a ticket. This Monday is pretty much a holiday. Won't be much going on other than the big peach drop at midnight. Don't think any ltl outfits are working. I know I have another 4 day weekend.

 

Come to think of it, the last delivery I made downtown Atlanta was at a Dicks Sporting Goods in Peachtree Plaza? I think that was the name of the plaza. Right downtown and I wondered why I was doing it at 0400 but found out why when I got there. Glad I got it off and out by 0600

 

Driver you will be fine. I'm a gas hauler in Atlanta. I'm downtown all the time. I see trucks come thur on a regular. As far as traffic you should be good there to its a holiday, schools are out and a lot of people are still off work. No traffic around here for the past week.

 

I'm down there a couple times a week on peachtree and northside ave. and there's really nothing to be worried about, just as said before go early and expect some traffic. On normal weekdays I try to be past the 285 loop by 5:30 or at least by 6:00, anything later than that and I know I'm possibly screwed lol.
