About 30% of our drivers are independent contractors.

if i still lived in wi, or moved back i would drive for pape and thats saying a lot as i dont tend to get along well as a co driver. there is not a lot of places that will get you home on weekends and still be able to make a decent wage. plus he just seems like a decent guy

Yeah I hear ya wideload, If I lived close enough I would probably go stick an application in over there myself, as much time as he and his brother spend on here and having had conversations with both of them they seem like a good place to work...

This guy lives in TX, you would think there's alot of big $$$ oil field work going on down there? what does 5J's payscale look like? I know they do alot of rig moves up here in PA and are based out of TX.

I am not sure I would call them lucky. They are the best in the industry so their pay should reflect that.

I have a buddy of mine that drove for Warren. He quit them and went 3 or 4 other places. I dont think he's telling me the full story but so far he hasnt had much luck getting another job. He did tell me that he got an improper securement ticket. I told him that I wouldnt be able to talk to him for 6 months as a securement ticket puts your ManCard in suspension for 6 months.

Anyways, he lives in Iowa, near Waterloo. I was thinking of telling him about Pape, but theres has to be other reasons why none of the other places that he's tried ignore him.

How long ago did he drive for Warren, and any chance his initials are P.D.?

Hmmm, I dont know what his initials are. Just normally call drivers by their handles. Too many Daves and Mikes and Richards out there.

I had a driver that worked for us, but we didn't get along...then he went to Warren, and I believe he has moved around since then. Just sounded a little to familiar. As long as we are not talking about the same guy, I would be happy to speak to any contractors that live around Waterloo.
