How to make it as an owner operator

    Wow, this guy sounds like he thinks we are volunteers driving for the Marines or maybe he thinks we live in the bad old days of feudal peasant slavery to our masters, the overlords of our village! Get off it!

    This is a service business for sure. Don't confuse that with service, as in voluntary with scarce or no profit expected. If that's what you think this industry is about, then I strongly advise you to get out today! I bet all the mega-carriers and crooked brokers just love you, a trucker who argues against making his profession strong and profitable. Maybe you could work for Swift Transportation's propaganda department instead. We don't need drivers like you cutting our throats for us.

    I totally agree. CrazyD came in and started acting like he was the only one that knew what he was doing. That is why I will continue to worship him like the Great Trucker GOd he obviously is! The rest of us are stupid lazy loosers according to him

    Funny, but I havent heard anything from him lately. Must be too busy grafting himself into his truck like a cyborg.

    Well it seems I am in the bad graces of the mods....again.

    Hopefully they will cut me some slack and open my thread back up.

    I think I need to find another topic that DOES NOT have anything to do with brokers. They (the broker types) seem to want to gang up on me every time I start posting things on how to deal with brokers.

    I really need to get better at not letting them get under my skin. I feel bad because now I got one of my more informative threads pulled down, and I take the blame.

    Honestly that thread was little more than a thinly veiled attack on Bill's character and the way F2F is set up in general. While you did raise a few valid points really to make accusations like that was uncalled for. You're just stabbing in the dark and really don't have a clue about our company. As far as the "broker types" really don't get that kind of rot gut anyway. It's business. You might need them or maybe not. Just because you cut them out doesn't necessarily equal more money. Customers look for value regardless.

    Funny I never mentioned anyone specifically but you and all the others got upset and just assumed who I was talking about.

    Thats not my problem.

    So every time I talk about how to spot bad brokers from this point forward I guess I can just expect you to come at me like you just have ?
