At the Ohio Turnpike Plaza in Amherst tonight. Snowing preety much non stop all across Indiana and Ohio. Oh and the stale cigarette smoke has permeated all my clean clothes, joy... Bought some of that Pure Citrus spray, hope it helps. Be safe brothers.

made it to fremont sapp bros...holcomb had the load finished when I got there but had to wait 2 hours to get the bills...by the time it was all said and done I was running on my 14 hour clock...not like I am on a big rush or anything...don't have to be in st michael til monday morning but will be there tomorrow afternoon....so no big deal....
notez try spraying some of it down your defrost vent....I did that to get rid of the nasty cigar smell when my truck was borrowed out while I was fetching my stuff in florida.....I smelled cherry blossom for a week and a half (yes, it was the only thing I had at the time...so no jokes please) -
went to see my aunt today since I have been sitting all day and dont deliver til tomorrow am and they live close by.....came back to find my ESPAR doesn't want to work at all...even tried blowing air into the exhaust and it still refuses to light...thank god we can idle otherwise it would be cooooollllldddd here in minnesota....lol

Looking back on when I Joined VW I really like working here....its pretty stress free overall....the loads aren't terribly heavy...we don't get ridden like at the big carriers...and they are willing to work with ya as far as getting needed time off to take care of things...as long as you give them enough lead time....OH and we don't sit a whole hell of a lot..so YAY!!...alright..back to bed with my bad self

Mic, I agree with you and thanks again for letting me tag along from Roehl.
Although I'm sitting in Breezewood since noon yesterday without a load. Holiday has made it a little slow. VA should have something for me today. Are we supposed to shut down for NYE at a certain time for safety?
Oh and the loaner truck is leaking oil behind the turbo. I have all the luck...LOL!
Update: Tim called and asked if I moved all my stuff into this truck to which I replied no. I was under the impression this was a loaner. I guess they want me to keep this one but most of my stuff is in 767 out in Sheldon...argh!

Mic Thanks this. -
Got my windshield fixed last week, and grabbed another warners load so i can get a day off at home, was nice to be there through this most recent storm, while i was on my way up there i stopped at wally world and got a pair of those new rain x beam-type blades, and a bottle of the windsheild washer additive, HUGE difference, since that mess i drove through last week destroyed the old blades. Hoping i get something that will allow me to shut down NYE so i can avoid the drunks.

Sitting Toms Brooks waiting on a Edinburgh load to be ready around 2300. Told I can get it around 330 in the morning by calling the security guard. This makes me feel a little bit safer. Hopefully most the drunks will be off the road by then. Anyway, headed to MI with a two stop that will allow me a night at home between drops.

spent most of yesterday after I got to St. Michael with my cousins and aunt.....didn't deliver til this morning...then got a good nap in before I got told to come back to sheldon to pickup a load out of hospers going to colorado....NICE!! was kinda hopin to spend the new year with my cousins but its all good....
sitting in fremont at the sapp bros....I could have pushed to bosselmans at least but there is no real rush on this load...dont have to deliver til wed. at noon and I will be there tomorrow...and I had to stop to make a field expediant repair to my green umbilical cable cause my driver side flashers quit working on the trailer...found 2 broken wires...did some quick engineering to get me by until I am home again later this week....(I am a master at field expediant electrical repairs...)....my ESPAR has now quit working altogether...so I have to idle until I get her back in
Have a happy new year...and keep the rubber on the road -
Starting my first load of the year with a flat trailer tire at shipper. Waiting on FleetNet vendor. Thankful that this load has plenty of time on it. Happy New Year fellow VW drivers.
