I call the manager before going to a Walmart. I just ask if I can stop and get some groceries. I won't be staying the night.
9/10 times I've been told it wasn't a problem. Even when they had "no truck parking" signs.
Have $500.00 cash in your pocket when stopping/parking @ Walmart in Eaton,Ohio

If there were "no truck parking" signs here, and the OP failed to notice or read them, then it's his own fault. Try using that excuse when you're downtown in your car and about to get a parking ticket...."I didn't see that no-parking sign, I didn't know that meant me, I thought that was for a different parking spot..." Ignorance is no excuse.
If you're absolutely, 101% sure that there were no "no truck parking" signs, seems to me you have a case in small claims court. Of course, this would require a return trip to Eaton.
Were there other trucks parked there the day you parked there? If not, I wouldn't have parked there either, even if it meant parking at a truck stop a few miles back and taking a cab to Wally World. A two-mile cab fare would have been much less than $250.
Anyway, depending on whether or not there were signs would have determined whether or not I would have parked there. -
Still trying to figure out the "discrimination"....last I checked "Truck Driver" was not a protected class.

5 mins in and out of a Walmart is a world record. It takes me a minimum of 30 minutes to get in and out of Walmart, even if I'm shopping for one item.
bigkev1115, NavigatorWife, DrtyDiesel and 1 other person Thank this. -
Going from Charleston, WV to Ardmore, OK. There was no reason to go up US35 into Ohio at all...... once again, sounds like another fish story to me.
And all the WalMart stores that have a "No Truck Parking" policy have signs which read that parking is only allowed for customers. You are allowed to park and shop and leave. If this really happened, you would have used common sense and called Bentonville Corporate already and filed a complaint. That is not a WalMart policy at all, and I infact verified this by calling my father who has been a WalMart driver for many years. He called his GM and said that is not allowed at all, as corporate forbids them to enter into any type of contract w/o The Rocks (Bentonville's) approval. So say what you want, but your story is total BS.
Where's your reciept for the T-Check??? Where's the reciept for the tow???
This thread shouldn't even be open any longer since it's not even a trucking company your complaining about.Last edited: Jan 1, 2013
