Ok guys new here just wanted to ask a simple question or two. I'm on my phone so forgive my willingness to search for my answer. I am already a sucker... I mean solo driver for england. I started July 9th 2012. Graduated the 23rd. So, I came in on the free 6 months tuition (thus the sucker part). I won't cry about how bad it was or wasn't. Everyone's experience is different. However my question is if I started school July 9th graduated the 23rd, is my 6 months over on the 9th or 23rd of January? I was under the impression it ends the 23rd. I want to quit the day after my 6 months. I got a long time gf and a 10 year old son with a heart complication. I wanna be home. So when would I legitimatly be able to quit and not pay the money back? The 24th? I was gonna give a notice on the 3rd of two weeks but don't want to get fired so they can charge me. So no notice. But when can I quit?

And in case you wanna know my experience with them it was ok. Wasn't bad wasn't good. I got thru the class, thru the phases had a great first phase trainer taught me to drive, 2nd one sucked crap thru a straw I hated that man with a passion. But after phases I teamed with a friend from school who I met on the bus he lives 20min from me back home. We ran a lot made money he bounced early and got a $3600 bill. I can't afford my medical bills for my son and that extra $200 a month so I'm still here. Got just a few weeks left I think/hope. Any input?? Thanks in advance.

Ask the for the date your obligation is fulfilled, they will tell you it is not a secret. After that you dont owe them anything, when you get something better lined up, say see ya.

I have something better lined up but it's not an option till I'm out of the schools contract. That's why I was asking. Thank you very much for the input. Ill be calling them tomorrow. Just don't want them to know I'm leaving till I'm already out the door.

Did you do your 6mo as a company driver? or l/o? Your actual day of hire should be the start date, not the day you started school or graduated school. Better check first before you make concrete plans.

Hope your son pulls through ok and that it is not a long lasting problem, bless his heart. Kids are so wonderful .

Orientation ended on the 22nd of July I got my graduation paper the 23rd. Basically hired on. That's when they sent me to phase one in Cheyenne. But I believe if I remember correctly they said 6 months from the day you were hired which woulda been the 23rd meaning I've got about 3 weeks left by my math??

As for my son thank you. He has a condition discovered in the delivery room. Been hospitals and specialists ever since. Called wpw or Wolfe Parkinson's white condition. It's kinda rare.

WPW is actually not rare at all. It used to be, but only because physicians didn't know enough about it. Now about 0.1-0.3% of the country's general population are diagnosed with it. There are some simple fixes for it, the most common of which is an ablation of the bundle of Kent, which is the extra intranodal pathway that causes WPW.

Insurance should cover this. If you don't have it, file for Medicaid for your son if you haven't already. It's there for hard working people who just need a leg up. I wish you all the luck in the world.
