you might want to contact the Ohio Towing Association also, google them and get the number or web address. Not sure I can keep posting links here without getting in trouble ...

    SHC Thanks this.

SHC...we had truck running....we were there 5 minutes or so....did not plan to park....had a long way to go...I spoke with Josh and he told me:"hook up and go" that was his decision at that time....I spoke with Walmart Corp. and learned that some "managers" can make such decision...
I just found out about this site today...that I why we posted to warn drivers...that is all...
    Will take this further tomorow!!!
Will everyone know how it goes....unless someone will tell us otherwise

    SHC Thanks this.

Well, it still sounds like you got had on the deal. As the store and corporate policy is to allow parking ONLY for shopping. I think this Al's place might have let their "contract" go to their head and out of control..... i would still file a complaint with the store, corporate and also the BBB

Very good idea. If they did this once, they have most likely done it before, and have complaints on file.

I would also contact a lawyer. I'd rather give the lawyer the $250 than some shady towing company, plus to give the towing some headache would be good payback.

Husband had his mty trailer parked in a spot by our daughter's house and someone from the company reported it as abandoned. I came back from town and here was a very nice big wrecker with two guys hooked up to it. The kingpin had a lock on it, didn't make a difference. It being Saturday made it hard to get ahold of someone in the company to let them know it was not stolen, or abandoned for 2yrs like they said or were told. They were from about 3hrs away and I bet they billed someone for the time.

Just remember one thing, not all tow companies are like this and push the laws or flat out break them...

Just one bad apple ruins the whole industry.. Truckers are the same with trucking companies and the actions of some drivers...

yeah we do tend to be able to move just about anything, wrecked, parked, broke down or abandoned.

Some times it just takes more time and of course "time is money, specially when billed by the hour"
