seems that over the last year or two my ins. company has really tightened the screws down on who they will and will not write.

Had a guy apply last week and turned his info over to my agent, clean cut, no history of drugs, alcohol, or accidents, over twenty years CDL, has ONE ticket on his record from almost two years ago, yes it was a 72 in a 55 BUT it was also in his personal vehicle.

Ins agent called me today to say they didn't want to write him, just who the F--- do they expect you to be able to hire???

Just wondered if anyone else was feeling this pinch, I would hate to change ins. co. as I have been with them for quite some time.

Did the insurance company say it was because of the speeding ticket ? Or do you think they found something else ?

Little early for that to come off the driving record, I am glad to have a great record even at the cost of lost work in the past.

It seems to me that the ins companies have forgotten who is the customer. If they don't like someones record than jack the rates and let the owner decide if he wants to hire the guy or pay the price.

My jerky insurance co refused to allow passengers after 15 years . No tickets or claims at all . This is after the agent had the check for renewal for 2 weeks. I gave it to her in person.

Well I canceled the ins right then , the renewal date was still 2 days away. Moral of the story insurance companies can be replaced.

And my niece or nephew will ride with me anytime we want....

Tiered insurance policies like this are more expensive for clean records.

Yeah Cat, I forgot about that one, they closed that for us two years ago, now the only "rider" can be wife that drives for company or another employee, also NEVER had a pass. claim.

I have been with Great West for about ten years or more, they are great with claims or damages, but that does me no good if I don't have anyone who can drive.
