Needing honest 1st hand exp answers

My 2 buddies that are on the Dollar General account are bringing in over 900 a week. Depends on the account. When I was Western Regional I was bringing on a bad week 400-500 and on a good week 600-800. All depends on the miles, your account, your work ethic, and DBL.

dschmidt201, what account were you on when you were with sni?

 

Not a problem.. I think if you run team with sni (Schneider) you and your co-driver will do otr with sni and not regional. I fell in love with runnng solo...lol so i stay regional. But trying for an account right now.

When I very first hired on the called me 2 weeks later and wanted to fly me to ohio for a few months and work at a Sears dc doing dedicated runs for sears... so, they have a lot of opportunities. Benefits are great too. I never went hungry working for them and was always able to have pocket money and pay my bills.

 

$550 a week is no money. Especially in trucking. If you're satisfied with no money, good luck to you. Voltrucker, good on you for wanting to get out there and make better money. From what I hear SNI is a strong company and Marten will keep you pretty busy. Where do you live, maybe we can do you one better.

Funny--- I have raised a family on that amount for the past 12 yrs... wife and 4 kids ...But yet he can't manage to get out of mommies house on it ... according to his own statement ..

I wouldn't hire him over that one statement it shows how much of an ungrateful kid he still is ..

I don't care where this kid goes, I dont think he'll be happy regardless and they will never pay enough.. If my kid came home complaining about $550 a wk I'd smack him...

 

This is good money if you get off at 5 everyday and don't have any travel expenses. Away from home for weeks at a time, scrounging cheap meals, and working at times 14 hours per day, is robbery. Making twice that is just over minimum wage per hour. You will make more at McDonalds. Find a better job. I say 1000 to 1200 per week is a good starting pay.

 

I posted that hours ago. But $550 a week is no money. I don't know how or where you live, but $550 a week is scraping the bottom. If I'm not making $1000 a week or better, I get a bit angry. Can't blame the kid for wanting to better his circumstances and strike out on his own, judging by what I see with most kids today, I find it admirable and honestly it seems as he has the drive to want to do better.
