Whole drop in dashes , no , sorry. Be Monday before I can talk to the freightliner guru . We sold out few years back. So I lost most of the contacts I had. But shop foreman at carrier I drive for is a master . Quickly learning Volvo. They Got right at 100 of them, time to learn.
The first truck I trained my first student in he got it at the end of his training. The dash was far worse than I'm seeing . I had them rebuilt the inside of the dash. The first driver T boned a trailer load with ac compressors ! Came out the other side. Picture flying bowling balls. Dealer "fixed" it. I tore open the dash to install my radio set up. And saw what they did. The main frame in there is called the spine . Toke our shop about 4 hours to swap out. So truck was down for day for me to move out and him in they rebuilt the dash. Found out cab was almost full of compressors when towed in !

    txnewbee Thanks this.

Oh on the bearing nut if ran off heat most likely frooze on . Heat may help. Hammer and chisel ? The impact may help. Have had to cut them off as well as the race.
I am fond of freightliner but that model is not well suited for that duty. I think you see that. But hope we can help you out till you are ready to upgrade.

Pablo, I know this is out of topic- but I see you made many comments about MBE 4000. My boss had a antifreeze leak & had shop pull heads and resurface. Truck ran fine before that, now won't pull skin off a tomato. 7 weeks in shop & nobody can figurer out why. You mentioned pull injectors from heads before milling, why? They may not have, but now saying bad injectors. Remember, truck ran fine before. Ant suggestions how they screwed it up? TKS!!

really to understans what's wrong is difficult w/o Star Diagnose ore DDDL, but.... check for boost leak and exaust leak. Mercedes use non VNT turbo and engine really sencetive for leaks. MBE4000 (OM460LA) got closed crankcase vent system and boost leak poit is covered with oil... exaust leak is easy to find too. Check valve lashes too. 0.4 mm Intake and 0.6 mm exaust

Tks! Been to DD dealer on dyno, no answer. What could they have screwed up on a simple repair? Timing of anything? ECM & lots of stuff replaced, no difference.

So i got my trailer back with a new axle talk about an inch off my dick. Well the old tires on the axle needed replacing. On my way home with the old tires i noticed smoke as i was braking. Could this be due to the bad shape of the old tires or is it more likely the brakes where adjusted wrong? Want to know before i put on the new tires tomorrow so i dont ruin a perfectly good set of tires if its the brakes how do i adjust it to not do ruin my tires? Was not braking severe enough for tires to smoke in my opinion and because the other axle tires dont smoke
