congrats! tell me, did you do the 2.5 day experienced orientation? if another job that im wanting somehow doesnt come through, then ill be coming back to schneider. I was curious about how they do their orientation. My pretrip can use some help lol, its not up to schneider standards i know! and for the life of me i cant remember how to do that dang pump down with the air. Im sure theyll go over all of it. The only jobs ive had in the 7 years ive had my cdl have been dedicated runs that have got me home every night so ive become kind of lazy i guess.

    Do park brake check:
Truck in low gear, release trailer brake, slip clutch, set trailer brake

Tell tester going to do air brake check

    Do air brake check:
Pressure must be full, set wheel chocks if needed
    Release trailer and emergency brakes
Shut down, turn key back on
Apply 90 psi steady, watch for no more than 4 psi bleed down in 1 minute after initial drop
Fan brakes, buzzer or light about 60 psi
Fan brakes, buttons pop 20-45 psi

Yep, 2.5 day orientation. C'mon back, my friend. Check their jobs site for possible opportunities that might interest you. And, NO, I did NOT drink any 'kool-aid.' Schneider is No.1 privately-held truckload carrier (as per Hoover's). Must be doing something right (well, JB HUNT is No. 1 public;y-traded carrier and it's gotten lousy driver reviews. GO figure). Good luck, sir. Be safe.

Did anyone get the message today to do a survey for the best fleets to drive for because someone nominated Schneider? Just curious, I laughed when I saw it.
