My understanding was along with guaranteed pay they were removing the accessorial pay so if you did run over the minimum miles you'd only make milage pay and nothing more. If that is the cases a lot of weeks you may be losing money. If they do decide to do it I hope they give drivers.

me too:i dont know what is up with that

don showed me the plan;u get a weekly check for 2300 miles at .38 per mile.if u are over that at the end of the month then u get an extra check for the miles u were over.if u were under then fre takes the loss.so if things are slow or u are detained or what ever may happen and u have a bad week then u still get a check that will pay the bills(guarenteed).its not a salary its a guarentee.a great plan

i am in monte vista,co and it is -22 and they said it had warmed up because it was -32 yesterday.its so cold that my truck asked me if i had an extra blanket...
Balakov100 Thanks this. -
if it's that cold...you keeping the truck running?
-
2300 miles @ .38 is $874 before taxes and all that jazz. I can make the sane amount by running a little over 2000 miles and bumping or droping 3 times. So, if they change the pay plan I for one would lose money especially if they take away the accesorials. So, that is why Don said IF they did they'd most likely give drivers a choice.

It's $900 a week before taxes. That makes it 2368 miles a week guaranteed. After a four week period, any miles over 9472 will be paid out as a separate check at $.38/mile. So if you ran 11500 miles in a four week period, you would have been paid $3600 in 4 checks with an additional check of $770.64.
This way your weekly check is evened out and you don't have to worry about getting a bad week of miles when you need a good week to pay some bills. It's all evened out with a 5th check after four weeks. No more need to submit for layover or breakdown. The biggest thing, in my opinion, that we won't have to worry about anymore is losing miles to get trailers fixed. There should be no reason with this that any trailer you have an issue with should not get fixed right away. You don't have to worry about losing money by getting repairs done.
This system puts all the responsibility on planning, logistics and new customer acquisition. If the office doesn't keep you busy enough, then they have to work harder. I've heard that there was heavy opposition in Omaha against this. I wonder why? If they weren't doing their job well enough before this, it would really make them look bad once it started.Daniel.trawick, holycow and platinum Thank this. -
