alot of companys will requier you to pass from an accredited school and have done a mandatory amount of time in class and behind the wheel. thats what they say anyhow mabey you should call mav and see if they do before you find someplace to just take the road test unless you already went through all that I dont know.

I just saw a post by notarps in a different thread and he said all you need for mav is a cdl so find some place to get that test done.

Thats because they were still doing the school at that time. I was talkin to them about the school at about that same time. I geuss it was about 3 or 4 weeks ago when the recruiter called me to tell me about them not doing it for flatbed anymore. -
The driving school I'm gonna go to will let u rent a truck to take youre test in, just a thought, if u find a school or college u might look into it. I think the school I'm going to costs 200 dollars to rent a truck.

Hey guys, Im going to take a CDL refresher through Sage. I drove some about 11 years ago. Will Maverick hire with just a refresher or do they require the 150 hour course? The Sage lady said I had better check because some companys require the whole course. Ill call a recruiter too. Thanks.

Go ahead and put in an application. If you already have a CDL and they can verify some of your past experience, you won't even be required to take a refresher.
I haven't drove since March '98 and I was approved about 2 weeks ago. Another guy on another forum hasn't driven in 10+ years and he has been in his own truck now for about 3 weeks.
Good luck -
I applied to Maverick but they said it would be 4-5 weeks before a trainer would be available, but they can get me in specialized in a week??? Can they not still get poeple to come in to and stay in the Glass hauling?? I have read some of the nightmare stories about how the division was when they took it over! Just wondering if its still that bad??
