No. That's my current employer through Regent Blue Cross/Blue Shield. The plan is what they call a "Buy Up" plan. The standard high deductible HSA plan is a little over $400 a month. Whereas if I just cover myself it is only $41 a month and company contributes $50 a month to it. Add a spouse and these insurance companies stick it to you. Looks like my wife is gonna just have to increase her hrs at her work so her coverage kicks in.
Don't need the health insurance.

vey informative posts guys....i'm trying to learn all i can about May since i am going to orientation soon (P'scola), really enjoy what i'm reading, a few negitive nitwits of course but most of you guys all sound somewhat happy to be there...now i have one question....about this idle thing....no...no.. just kidding....what i would like input on is in reguards to the decision after training to take the 30cpm or the $620 garentee...how have some of you recent newbies been doing with reguards to miles..and if you take the garentee and constantly run under....does the company think your milking it and hold it against you...or if you run over...do they pay you the difference at the end of the 90 days..and finaly....can you change mid term....thx in advance for all replies

Take the guarantee. I'm a trainer and ran 2k mile weeks back to back. Miles aren't good for may the first quarter.
Mac2012 Thanks this. -
If you run more miles than what you were paid on gaurentee, they will pay the difference at the end of ninety days. To my knowledge you cannot switch.

Joker, only 2k miles per week last two? That's weak...

Yes that was last month I ran 7k in 3.5 weeks I'll be out of here by march.

I loved my time at May, but WOW! am I glad I moved on when I did!
I cut back my miles/time on the road...My wife recently got a new job, working Fri/Sat /Sun 7p-7a, so now I leave out Monday night, and home by Friday afternoon, and still make ~$1k/wk
(as an aside, this company's insurance sucks, as do almost ALL trucking companies, thank God my wife is a nurse at a hospital with great benefits lol)
