The day you sign the paper is the day you get married to a business.. And with that business comes big stinking expenses. If you can't stomach the married get out. Either way stop crying just because you couldn't make it work, plenty of people do. More so don't, big deal. I've chosen to buy my own truck and lease on where it feels right. Either way, my truck belongs to the bank, and unlike you, my bank doesn't dictate anything to me.

Wow. Just wow. I've been away for a few months and nothing has changed. Those that have leased to JCT and left always have bad things to say. Its NEVER their fault, the company is trying to screw them, blah, blah, blah. We ALL have tried things in life and have failed at least once. So what??? That's life!! Hopefully we take the lessons learned and apply them on the next venture. That's how we succeed in life. Live and learn, admit our shortcomings, and quit blaming the whole world for our failures. This has become a comical thread to read instead of an informative one. Bashing JCT because you didn't succeed isn't informative; its immature.

Is JCT perfect? NO. Are they a good company to lease on to and start your business venture? YES! But you as the driver have to approach it with a business attitude, not a bad one. JCT doesn't owe you a #### thing. You owe it to yourself to work hard and succeed. They aren't going to give it to you. No business, trucking or otherwise, is going to do that. You get rewarded for doing a good job to YOURSELF by making a profit.

What else do you want? Recognition? Atta boy/girl? Pat on the back? ### kissed? If that's what you want or NEED, don't ever start a business, especially in trucking. Grow up! JCT is a business just like you. Ultimate goal.....make a profit. Very doable with the right mind set and hard work. If you have questions or probems, check your attitude at the door before you speak to someone. I mentor several drivers at JCT and in EACH AND EVERY CASE, the problem is not JCT. I'm not saying its the driver either. Its actually ignorance. All that simply means is they don't know or understand. Be willing to learn from others. LISTEN to the successful drivers. Hell, I'm ignorant to a lot of things, but ONE thing I AM NOT ignorant to is how to run a business, hence my exteme success here.

I just came off a 16 day vacation over the holidays, had zero miles to turn in for the 9th & 16th (still had the fixed cost of $680/week charged to me) and am already working on the pay period that pays us 2 1/2 weeks from now. How? Because I run my business, not JCT nor anyone else.

Well i have been holding off posting untill i saw how things were going to go, I started with JCT about 1 1/2 months ago. I have nothing but good things to say. I was a little nervous coming in because of what I had read here, I wish i had made this move along time ago now. I have been treated with nothing but respect and profesionalism <sp> since i have been here. I believe they do a good job in setting you up for success if you will listen and follow there advice. my miles have been good so far, not great but steady. I got the truck i was hoping to get, and have had no major issues with it.the one problem I did have was fixed promptly and was covered under warranty so i lucked out there. All in all i am very happy here and plan on being here for along time.

No they do not. But they do report your lease payments to the credit bureau, which will help your credit rating

They do not check your credit, but as LMB noted, they will report your lease payments to the credit bureau.

Concerning the apu, they will put one on a truck (Thermo King) and then you make the payments on it. A new one will be financed for 24 month. If you get a truck that already has an apu, then the length will vary, depending on how old it is (or it may already be paid).

They require a deposit in the amount of a whopping $0, both for the truck and apu. All you have to do is make the payments each settlement.

As far as warranties go, most of the trucks will have the remainder of the manufacturer's original warranty. JCT buys the extra warranty package when they order their trucks, so its pretty decent on an older model.

Will they fix things on the truck? Yes and no. Anything you find when you are checking out the truck will be addressed. Naturally, some things can't be found without taking it on the road and seeing how things run.....or not. They will tell you in orientation that on your FIRST trip out, anything that you find will be fixed. You will need to call our maintenance liason person and tell at the time you discover it. DO NOT WAIT TIL YOU GET BACK TO THE TERMINAL!!!! CALL IMMEDIATELY AND COVER YOUR BUTT SO JCT WILL FIX IT FOR FREE. If you wait, then guess what? You'll have to pay to have it fixed.

    Hope this helps
