Want to avoid to DPF Bull with cali? Buy 1995 or and older truck. It requires no DPF filter. Do not put on the retrofit, it will burn down your truck. Plenty of people are starting to sue the makers and most insurances are not insuring trucks that have retrofits on. Best bet is to buy 2011+ truck and avoid all hell. Or just dont run CALI.

Rather then thinking to big, like sometimes, people talk, "oh do a nation wide boycott". Not realistic its been talked about for years.
How about just taking a little bite out of it and put a little squeeze on certain states like CA. like no non resident haul anything in or out,let the resident driver take care of it there state and when they start felling the squeeze then maybe they will lighten up on there anal laws.i doubt this would ever happen either but would be cool if it did.

Hoping there will be some cherry rust-free 98-03 trucks come up for sale soon...

Good news CHP is not enforcing Carb Laws yet. According to officers at the toughest place in CA, there is a lawsuit pending. They also said as soon it's has a ruling, they will be enforcing the laws.

our trucks are running currently and we have 2 trucks not meeting the standard. they are running daily.
we are also finishing up on the trucks we purchased to replace them.
Our drivers are getting updates daily. Hope this helps.

Sadly I doubt Cali will ever loosen up their laws. I hate to say we are use to it. But we are. I totaly agree I will have to buy a newer truck. Btw, I do see alot of trucks in pretty nice condition going for fairly cheap due this scare. If I lived out of this state I'd waiting a little while then pull the trigger

It would be much appreciated if you could kindly post here when they do decide what will or won't be enforced out there. Thank you.
