I saw a new driver last week and he had a problem with his wipers. The washer sprayers did put out enough fluid. The spray heads holes were clogged. The trick-tip, use a staple and clean out the holes. Also use Rain-X washer fluid on top of using Rain-X every week. Another tip, clean the wiper blade rubber with an alchol wipe so the blades keep the window clean at all times.

make sure you use WINTER temp washer fluid.

And a question for the MODS.

For those of you who will need to chain up another helpful tip. Get yourself (2) 2x6 about two feet long and put these on the inside of your tires and drive up on them. This will lift your outside tires enough to wrap the chains around the tires and move the connecting links to an easy working location. Get the treated lumber, usually Lowes or HD sells scrap pieces. Don't forget to carry extra bunggies with you.

nother thing you could do, if your delivering/picking up, of parking at a rest area, t/s and its snow covered/icy and you need to get moved for whatever reason, dump your air bags, it will help get bunch of traction on the rear, but dont forget to fill em back up.... and dont do it for a long distance, or on really rough terrian, youll be putting a lot of weight on empty bags and you dont wanna tear one....

When parked for the night, release the brakes and move a few inches after brakes are cooling down. This will keep
them from freezing to the drums.

If you have to drive through snow or ice, and have super singles on your tractor, remove them and put on real tires(duals)...or just drive on chains all day.
    Drag slicks and ice=crash.
Don't ask me how I know this.
