tell ya what. i will gladly go spend $4k on lights and polishing the alum and sell itbto ya for $40k then. its a nice truck, i didnt knock it. its a simple matter of look at the market and judge the prices. the reason my trk is $29k isnt because its junk its because i want out asap. i dont gouge people when i sell something. i price fair and grt it sold.

dont ask.me why gliders lower the value they just do. go try and trade one in and see what they say. the pro lem with gliders is all in who built it.

I look everyday at the truck market his price range is not bad at all. right now newer truck 07 and newer are dropping in price and truck 2000 to 06 are jumping in price. and the reason is simple. people are trying to get away from the 07 emmision engines that suck so badly. Where any knows for sure on this form other than the op that it is a glider is just crazy. you know what the differnece on a glider and the same truck made by the company. you know whats done and that its done right...lol only thing your doing with a glider is dropping your motor and tranny and drive shafts in it. everything else ie rears cab interior are all together how you order it.....again based on the truckpaper his starting price is not to bad at all

6NZ 550 with 572,000 makes it worth $40k in my book. might have to give my banker a jingle Monday.

probably have a lower resale cause they cost $40,000 less than a new truck.

I'm sure the truck is sold, but, a big indicator the truck is a glider is the 6NZ engine. That engine went out of production a few years before 2004. That truck should have an MBN or a BXS, as both were the only Cat engines available in a factory truck in '04.

There were 6NZ in 03...I think on 04 it would have been an MBN.....

To eliminate any confusion, the truck is not a glider kit! I have not been on the forum in a while, sorry for the delay in response. I switched out the ecm from an MBN to a 6NZ so it would run as a Cat should. To the guy who thinks I just slapped $4,000 in lights and chrome on it to try to gain resale value, You have no clue what you're talking about and if your going to talk out your ### as you did you should at least get your facts straight before just randomly assuming that it's just a looker and not a runner! The truck is extremely well maintained by me and is ready to go (turnkey). If you think the price is to high then keep spendding less than $30k on a truck and see what that gets ya! Oh wait, you already did that with the P.O.S you're trying to sell. I have flip flopped on whether or not I want to sell it, but I have ultimately come to the decision of getting rid of it to a SERIOUS buyer. This truck will not disappoint, I just put 4 brand new batteries in it as well a month ago along with all the other mechanical work that has been done to it recently i.e. clutch, brakes, wheel seal, ujoint, ecm, and not to mention regular service intervals every 15,000 including fuel filter changes. Thanks to the guys who feels the truck is priced fairly, I appreciate those who know what they're looking at other than the cosmetics!

    ####, that's a clean looking shaker, if this were a mid-roof, it'd be mine.
