I guess no Big G drivers lurking about. I've talked to a couple on the radio and both seemed happy. One in a brand new Cascadia, the other in a 2 week old 670 Volvo. Volvo driver been there 6 months or so he said, Cascadia driver , 13 years so a bit of a span from a new guy to and older hand which is promising.
Both said they get the miles they want, like the ops side of things and so on. Rider policy, Pet friendly, Paid holidays, and vacation, APU's on all trucks. Employee owned Company.
Filled out the app online so will see what happens.

My uncle works for them here in tennessee. He likes working with them. he took a pay cut going to them from heartland express, but thats because heartland was giving him crappy miles but great pay. with big g he took the cut for better miles but bringing more money home and enjoys his job a lot better. i guess its a buy in company where you can own a little of it. i don't know exactly how it all works but im going to get into them hopefully after getting my cdl when im out of the army next year.

I have worked for two different essops in the past both times it was a bad experience for me . But big g was not one of them they run nice equipment there the pay advertised on their website looked a little low.for me .

An essop is were you get a certain amount of stock every year you work there it can be withdrawn for various reasons but its basicaly a company paid retirement plan using their stock it can be a good deal if you think the company will still be around when you retire . I would hedge my bets and have major investments in a 401k outside.of company assets . I think raven transport out of north carolina is an essop as well they have nice equipment as well but requier experience and prefer you have some decent bad weather experience they run the northeast .

Thanks guys. I just know my uncle really enjoys working with them as a whole. So when I get out of the Army I'll probably look into them.
