If I recall, all they asked was to do the step exercise 5 times, I think, within one minute, or something like that. Slow is relative.

I thought there was a timer, a beat that you had to keep up with on the step test.

Yep this is how it is. There's a little thing that makes a ticking noise and every time it makes a noise you move one foot.

And, NO, it's not *that* ticking noise, if you get my drift. :)

There were a few folks that went through when I did and really werent very close to keeping up. I never heard em tell anyone to speed up. I went through orientation with around 20 people, several were older and several more were very out of shape. The only one who didnt get through was a younger guy who had a resting heartrate of 140! You need to see a doc if thats the case.

excellent! maybe ill eat some skittles for a energy burst lol.....the outfit i may be joining is the regional out of charlote i think...i live in greensboro nc so thats prob where ill do orientation. tell me, is making the switch to otr hard? im sure there will be a learning curve with the qualcomm, finding shippers, hours of service etc....i have a daughter who just turned 2 and a 6 yr old stepson....i hope im not getting in over my head. the local stuff just isnt paying and were falling behind a little so im manning up for a home weekly position. i hope the 34 hr restart or 2 days home will be enough for the family....any insights?
