    I'm in Atlanta. And companies don't want to pay enough to go to Savannah. I have haz-mat and doubles and triples.

    Some days that they have freight I can make about 100-300 if I'm lucky..

    I feel you man!! My sweet gig went to crap; now I'm pulling for Ryder Logistics and it's a NIGHTMARE!! I have my truck for sale as I cant find ANYTHING for an O/O where I live to be home weekends so Im gonna throw the towel in and do something else.............

    yeah i hope your a company driver.that sucks,but thats the gig.if you wanna make GOOD money you gotta go food delivery,flat or haz mat tanker.next would be con-way or the likes of ltl.hourly pay.

    I dropped my apportioned tag after I went local. The road use tax and the states I had was killing me to say I didn't go up there. I just got another truck with some of my savings because most companies want a truck less than 10 years old and mines turned 11..

    I don't understand how someone can get into trucking and expect to make good money AND be home every night. The two are practically mutually exclusive.
