They don't care if you are running out of hours, they DO force dispatch (regardless of what their website says), they will put you in situations that are not safe or lack food and restrooms, none of the dispatchers speak to each other, you may NEVER call a shipper/receiver (if you do you are called into the office and reprimanded or fired). I told them a receiver was closed and they said try to deliver anyway (which they ALWAYS say, they have no idea of their S/R hours) so i did, they sent the cops (even though there was a another driver at the T/S 10 miles away who could have helped) to come and help me get out of the shippers driveway (it was a mile long, curvy, with an island, and no why to turn around, not to mention no lighting and it was 11 pm. They told me to wait until someone shows up (which would have been three days away), i got out and then two separate dispatcher called and QM'd me asking why I have not tried to deliver again, then told me I will try again...I said kiss my what? that was one of four situation they got me into, I called the s/r's and knew I could be there which I informed my dispatcher and again was told i will have to come into the office and be "retrained" because I just a driver and have no business dealing with s/r's.
Also had to wait four days after orientation to get a truck...the next class was over after mine, 11 people more waiting on trucks that did not exist.
No communication, no respect (yea i know...that's trucking), no miles (3000 in three and half weeks), and Stacey and Doug Whatever are complete ##########. Still waiting on my $155 refund for the locks they make you purchase.
Great Service Department and Fuel Bay. Good Orientation, Hotel Room was a typical Indian ran dump, decent food. If it was not for dispatch and F'd up planners it would be good company. LOL

PTL of murray ky? well i'm not surprised.i was leased on with them in 97.it wasnt all bad being o/ol with them.once i had trained my dispatcher.he thought he was going to sit me somewhere for a weekend w/out any miles, once.after i got his boss on the line and asked if he got paid comission or hourly and im not spending all this time away from my family to jerk around in a t/s all wkend.while he's at home playin w'his..if my wheels are turnin we both make money.if you sit me somewhere because you suck at your job,i will meet you at your desk monday morning.we'll talk about it then, face to face.they never sat me anywhere again.besides that,i ran into a whole pack of wanna be's who were afraid to go east of the mississippi,go figure.i ran 3500miles a week,or more..80cpm then but fuel was .97cpg.

after i got stuck on a 296 mile run for 4 days due to them not knowing that the shipper was closed for the weekend I asked for a new dispatcher or a face to face with the boss and was told that I am only a truck driver and are to just do as am I told. I drove straight to murray and turned in my truck. got a call 6 hours later asking why i was in murray and I told them...check your qc...i quit hours ago!
Not to mention that I was being harassed by an employee who looked up my truck number and kept calling and texting me for purposes that had nothing to do with business.
I agree with the wanna b's...I did not care where I went, miles are miles! they lost a great employee...never take home time and run like hell...their loss. -

Well I am with ptl and I have a great dispatcher. If anyone has been out here for any amount of time knows that your dispatcher makes the company. I am making 3000 plus miles a week and have been for 6 months. All truck companys are the same.

I agree, the dispatcher makes the company.Where I work and have to go upstairs to get logs or whatever, which I call that room the war room.I hear more dispatchers yelling at their drivers.
