Ah the far too common; hurry up and wait scenario. I was trained in it very well with the military. Training that has served me well in trucking.

    skyviper73 Thanks this.

Don't feel bad. I sat for a week waiting for my trainer that had to come from Dallas via Minneapolis to deliver a load to pick me up in Marshfield. I started my orientation the day after Christmas and completed just before New Years. Trainers that trained female drivers were few and far between. Men usually got trainers faster than us gals. Something else to keep in mind. We are entering the holidays. Many trainers take a break at this time of the year and don't accept students on board. Would rather sit at home instead of a motel on Christmas and New Years. I know that getting going so you can get some money flowing is some of the irritation. These problems of trainers and trucks are with every training company not just Roehl. It's all in logistics and loads which are less during the holidays too.

So, Lone Star, how are things going with the Phase 2 training? Let me know, if you will, as there is a chance that I will be following the same path that you have taken. Thanks!

Hey ATX, I tested out of Phase 2 on Dec 7th. I've been in Phase 3 since then, things are a little slow mileage wise, I'm hoping it's just because of the time of year. I'm on the Texas Regional and was expecting 2,000 miles a week, hopefully it picks up soon. If your still considering going with Roehl, they're a really good company.

Congrats on finishing Phase 2! That's a terrific accomplishment. Did your Phase 1 take place in Dallas, or somewhere else? My recruiter said that the Texas Regional covers about a 500 mile radius from Dallas. Is that what you are seeing?

Roehl is still near the top in my view. I took their physical last Friday and probably won't hear for a few more days. However, I am also talking to others as well, Maverick in particular. Will have to wait and see what develops. BTW, started straight-line backing today and did pretty well, if I do say so myself!

Thanks and all the best to ya!
