Our average on our long nose, NON-aerodynamic Peterbilt 7.1 mpg.
Russjac Thanks this. -
kermit was my trainer at May. he always stressed that i need to max out my driving hrs/ miles per day. at May i would average about 7+ mpg. now at gordon i average about 6.5 mph. same cummings engine , different trans 10 spd vs the 13 spd at May. looks like he has changed his tune since moving in to the office . is it driver habits or are we using the wrong equipment for our tasks. i m getting shorter runs and more stops. very hard to get good fuel numbers that way.

Length of haul, weight in the box, terrain all contribute. My average wgt in the box id 47k. I drive WA to CA and back. I average 6.6 mpg with my iShift automatic. The gm is super happy with that average. It's all relative.

Is it just me or is this micro-management. a computer messege about not driving properly?
