It wouldnt have been so bad except once you start the truck you have to wait for 4 minutes for the "Check Engine" light to flash, then you step on the throttle once and then the truck will idle. THAT was the longest 4 minutes ever. Then of course you have to climb back into a cold bed and wait for the water temp to come up. They just serviced the heater a month ago, so I dont know what the problem might be. It will fire up, but after 5 minutes it just shuts down. If I turn it off then turn it back on it will do the same thing.

That crap happened to me...I was in a hotel parking lot across from a Walmart in Federal Way, WA.....there was maybe 3 or 4 trucks in there...literally ENTIRE dirt lot was open. This fool tries to squeeze it between myself and a expeditor sprinter van....Sure, he would have fit--granted with little to no space between trucks for him to get out--except for the fact that he hit a little slant and his trailer tilted right into my mirror...

Last week of season, 2009...I was in MOntgomery AL T/A, Bengals were playing and if they lost, Houston would be in playoffs. I get all pumped up and go inside ready to hoot and holler at the boob tube.....only to find 4 grown men, sitting on the same aisle...basically next to each other...watching a friggin HOUSE MARATHON. I mean, seriously? lol

I stayed home an extra week just to go to the Texans game yesterday. :) Back out on the road tomorrow.....(that is if there isnt still 500 empty flat beds in the Houston area. :/)

LOL Lucky thing for me...I'm a company driver. I don't give a rats patooty about rates. I'll probably end up getting DH'd somewhere into Lousy-anna or Beaumont to get some cheap slinkies or some such nonsense.

I tell you what tho...my buddy swung through Baytown on the way to Laredo last Thursday...man seems like every truck at the Baytown T/A was an empty flatbed....

Well, I'm not going to complain if I don't get outta here tomorrow. I kinda enjoy being at home. And money....well, seeing as I work all summer straight through, I'll more than make up for my lack of winter driving. lol
