No, you should be fine. Just make sure you have name and phone # on outside somewhere.

In my younger years I used to fly all over the place with a military back pack strapped duffle bag. They would just put it in a plastic tray with the straps inside. Get a good fat sharpe and write your name and cell phone number on it. I would also put a copy my itinerary in the bag and lock it with a cable tie.

Careful how you load it... there does come a point where you'll be charged extra.

No, I haven't. It was BDUs, DCUs, and solid OD duffel bags in my day.

I am not a fan of the ACU pattern

If the bag is a rolling bag it will not compress into a small space due to the frame. I used to slide a multi compartment bag inside of my duffle toped by my blanket, rain gear winter jacket and finally reading material

Tell me about it. Gotta love that Army logic. "Well, we'll take the least effective pattern we tested (Urban Track) and change the colors a little. That should suffice". Glad I got out before that crap became mandatory. Of course, I don't know how much good the DCU's did me when I had a big black A/N PVS-7 mount in the middle of my helmet, an IBA and LBV in M81 woodland, and a large, solid OD pack full of medical supplies on my back. Then you'd have these people who'd buy these black leg drop holsters (officers in particular, and especially in the Guard).
But I'm getting way off-topic here.

God I feel old! When I enlisted we had the cotton OD green uniforms with a BUTTON FLY! And we had to starch and iron them, then along came the permanent press OD. Course back then we still used the 1/4 ton Jeep and Gamma goats.
