If it's on the internet it must be true...LOL Henderson has a good internet rep, but.

Just a tip from someone that used to be in charge of hiring and firing at his facility:
When asked, don't embellish. Keep it brief and to the point. Avoid using disparaging terms such as "crazy" or any other term that could be left up to interpretation. Don't be afraid to say that you were alarmed and even scared because of her behavior. But don't drag it out. The interviewer will understand. They're in personnel, not psychoanalysis. And I'll guarantee you that they've heard it before.bikertrash61 Thanks this. -
I would just be open and honest, keep it short and to the point.
If an interviewer listens and understands and offers you a job and a chance for them to make their own opinions= decent company.
If interviewer does not like it or immediately switches to "we have all the drivers we need" then they did you a favor by not offering you a job.bikertrash61 Thanks this. -
it must have been a doozy to get it removed by the moderator

Thank you. I hope I get the opportunity to explain myself in a brief, professional manner to a new company. I just wnat to get the experience I need and if it's with a company that treats me right I would love to stay with them and prove my loyalty. I just hope there's one out there.

My story wasn't as crazy, my trainer and I got along fine, I was progressing through training well, etc, but we just weren't getting any miles. Our dispatcher got us one good week, and 4 crappy ones. Then when I took hometime for Christmas, they couldn't get me near home, so they got me a Greyhound ticket. That was nice. But then they couldn't get the truck anywhere near me for a good 2 weeks at which point I had no money to even get back on the truck.

Don't worry too much about it. I quit my first job after just 2 months with Mayflower Transit. On the way home, from Alabama to Philadelphia, everyone on the CB assured me I would never get hired by any other company. When I got home, I took a few days to myself, and then started looking for a new job. I was hired by J.B. Hunt 2 days later. Sure, that was not the best job there was, but for a newbie driver, who had quit a job after just 2 months, at least it paid the bills. 6 months later, to the day I got a better offer from another company.
No need to "lay low for...." or "work at Walmart for a couple years. Just do what others have told you here; keep the story short, and to the point. Don't make yourself seem to eager to call anyone names, or blame them. Just explain the situation made you truly concerned for your own well being.superpet39 Thanks this. -
good luck.

I have been hired by swift. I have an awesome trainer/mentor. I learned more in 3 days with him than a month with the nut job at Henderson. I am loving the drive life! Everything about the training is laid out in writing, all expectations of both the trainer and student. No confusion about expectations. LOVING IT!!!
