After orientation and every thing else, how long did you guys have to wait to get a trainer for the OTR driving? Also, did they come to the place you went to orientation or elsewhere?A guy I went to CDL school with is at different company. There are people where he's at that have been in a hotel waiting for 3 weeks at a pay of $400/week.Yikes!
How long did you wait for a trainer.........

Another question:How do you make out with Roehls bonus system?I may start a new thread about that ? if not many answers I guess.

I waited one day for a trainer and he showed up at E-wood and i hopped on. Bonus system whats that lol
pa musky Thanks this. -
After I completed RDTC and securement training I went home to Richmond, Va. After a week I called and asked about being setup with a trainer, they didn't have anyone in my area so they paid for a rental car for me to drive up to the Gary Terminal, put me up in the hotel for a night, and the next morning I was paired up with my trainer.

Smoking or non smoking?
Van or Flatbed?
Those factors matter. Pretty sure non smoking takes longer, but I only had to wait about a week. Just enough time to drive back to NJ from RDTC, do laundry and gear up to head out. Luckily my trainer lived in NJ so I only had to meet up at a service plaza on the pikepa musky Thanks this. -
When I finished RDTC on a Friday, I had a trainer that Tuesday pick me up near the Oak Creek, WI yard.

Thanks guys!I would sure prefer non-smoking and van or flatbed, either one would be fine. The more I look into the more I'm considering flatbed.

Flatbed is nice but trapping can be a pain. Flatbed can be mostly live load/unload. Not as much drop and hook as van can be.
