I filled out a application on line today for a driving position at SRT. Can anyone tell me about the equiptment as in IS it turned back? Also is SRT running Ny city on a regular basis?

As said in last posting I filled out a application on line and was called back. I have been excepted to attend orientation.
Is there anyoneion out here able to tell me what to expect during orientation and how the freightlanes are with SRT. Thank you.. -
I drove for them until May of this year. You can expect lots of Tyson loads. You will learn which ones are the bad ones, but I can tell you, if you get a load from the Nashville, AR Tyson, expect about a 12 hour delay. You will always be loaded heavy so expect to have to scale a lot, but that is normal in reefer.
During orientation, they will put you in a Hotel with a room-mate. They will feed you lunch at the classroom, and give you a voucher for the diners near the hotel, if you eat more than a kids meal, bring some cash because the voucher will hardly get you anything. The will bus you back and forth from the hotel to the class everyday. The last day you will need to bring all your stuff from the hotel. They will have you place it in the room you get your physical in. Breakfast is the normal continental breakfast at the hotel.
Other than that, just the usual orientation stuff. When I went through we had 3 or 4 people that got sent home for various reasons. One could not pass the driving test, one failed the medical portion, etc... Good luck, they kept me pretty busy. I bought my own truck and am driving for Panther now. -
Great info thanks... How are the trucks? I see the pics they show, And talked with the recruiter a little but she didnt offer to much information,

Im also really curious in this company. they seem to have decent equipment... really nice trailers and i talked to one of their drivers yesterday and he was happy. im curious on how much they will bug you on the qualcomm all day. i know that might sound crazy but i hate getting messages all day and half of them arent important. I like to be left alone and just run for 3 to 4 days and get the load there. im runnin flatbed right now and thinking i need a change.
