Just got offered Baltimore, MD to Port Washington, NY p/u and deliver tomorrow. Dry van, 6000 lbs, 216 loaded miles for $1200 all-in.

Glad I turned down that 45K grocery load to Pittsburgh for $700.

    HwyPrsnr Thanks this.

Not to try to rain on your parade, but ...

    Havre de grace bridge $30
    NJ pike about $60
    GW bridge $65
    Each way onto LI = $37.5 x 2 = 75.00

$230 in tolls. Add another $18 if you need to pay that Baltimore toll on 95. Now your load is $970. Have you ever been through that city? It is worth more than that. What is the loading coming out of that place look like? I can tell you that I almost always go down to the NJ/PA ports with my reefer.

Why Is Everyone So Nervous About Baltimore? It Can't Be That Bad We Get MILLIONS of tourist A Year From All Over The World #1 Hospital In The Country And Let's Not Forget About The Port Which Is Major In The Economic's of this Country. Step Down Out That Truck And Be A Tourist And Maybe You Might Just Enjoy Everything We Have To Offer.

Yup, only adds 50 miles and almost as many minutes. Never considered that route; I hate driving in PA due to all the construction and traffic headaches.

LA really is not as bad as it used to be.since the great recession and high gas prices's there is a lot less people working & driving around here.rush hour is now just a couple hours not an all day thing anymore..
