Flat Rate of 1000 a week if what I make I'm sure you should b able to get a driver..now getting a "good" driver is an different ballgame!
fisher guy and fireba11 Thank this. -
$1000 gross is a little on the low side for flatbed or step. salary is nice but from a business standpoint i can see u loosing on the deal how about a percentage scale like 25-30% of the LINE haul just be honest with ur driver and make sure u dont try to hide the numbers and in return i believe you both would make out well
MackDaddyMark Thanks this. -
and like mack said finding the GOOD driver is the hard part no matter how much money u put on the table

My dad worked for me 18 years ago, when I had 2 trucks and I paid him 30% of the truck pay. Dad was happy and I was happy so it worked out, after all, he taught me how to drive a truck and about the business so I wasn't worried, I just told him to operate the truck like he owned it! Sure do miss my dad!

The thought of not having mine by my side makes me ill. He's one of my best friends.fireba11 Thanks this.

Also make it a % AFTER fuel costs. That gives your driver the incentive to try for better MPG and also not sell your fuel....Homebrew, MackDaddyMark and LSAgentOZR Thank this.
