Wow. like i said, im not a big fan of galaxys. i paid 80 for the dx44v. thought it was alot. but the driver had no food or smokes. I bought a 959 a few yrs ago from a driver for 60. didnt like it. so i gave it to my brother. msjasmine ur coment couldnt have been any closer to the truth. i have a 3300hp (same board/chassy as galaky) that has a bad solder joint. The only time it works is after i smack it. lol. ive been on the hunt for the bad solder point for th past 3yrs.

Yep, you can smack the radio against a sturdy table and if it has a bad solder joint, it goes to working lol.

I like Connex radios also but the Galaxy radios i have owned have always held up well too.
I hope i like the DX94HP i ordered... -
This is EXACTLY what happen to my old PLUTO(88 wannabe). Took it to a mobile shop and he couldnt fine any problems cause it started working when he took the top off. The next day it did it again, this time took it to my regular shop (The CB Shop)( in Ontario, Ca., down the street from the T.A.). It did the same thing, it started working so he started tapping all over the board and it quit working. In all, it was the same problem the OP had.

Sounds like a big dog radio.

Somewhat Big Radio. Had the RFX 75 installed.

I have a galaxy 95T sitting on a shelf.
I had it in the truck for a couple of months and never did like it .
I put my HR2510 back in .
I don't know if it is just because I have had the 2510 since 1984 or so but I just do not care for the galaxy radio. -
I like to refer to that as "percussive maintenance"
