Yeah I know the troubles with age as I got my CDL when I was only 18 years old you just have to bite the bullet with a larger carrier until your 23 than move to a smaller company till your 25 once your 25 with your experience you should be able to go to any company you choose as long as you keep your dac and psp reports clean

Stick it out for a few years. I started young too,now at 26 and 3 yrs in I'm flatbed & rgn and I know I have job security. I'm still young but with the experience I can go anywhere if I choose. It's worth putting in at least 2 years. You'll be wanted and you'll know a thing or two about a thing or two.

I was 22 also when I started and back in 1987 no one would hire you on till you were 23. I found a small trucking company, only 5 trucks, and they hired me on and I trip leased all my loads till I was 23.

Never forget the first time I crossed a scale in Ohio with Company signs saying one thing, bingo card for a different company and a trip leased load for another company. The officer looked at me and said, "Your new doing this aren't you?" I said, "Yes sir" and he schooled me on what was the legal way to do it and let me go with a warning that he better never see me again with a mess like that at his scale.
