If you are concerned about any trucking company checking up on what you say on these forums, maybe you are stating untruths or slanderous information. Basically, maybe our posts should be based on fact concerning our employers, with information to prove what you say.

Yer funny Meltom! Well I'm trying to find one real job all day today! Been on the phone all day with recruiters. Finally landed a phone interview for Monday with one

 

There are well known " immutable" laws , e.g. ; the human condition , the enigma of human suffering , man's inhumanity to man etc. that govern all of this puzzle, this conundrum . It is true that we can " change no one but ourselves. That is A given . Others, who influence our " realm will change in response to our " adjustments" . That is the bitter pill to swallow . You change first ! If you project negativity into the " universe " , negativity will in turn haunt you. Cause and effect. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction . Consequences ; and there are no exceptions. Call it Karma , whatever goes aound comes around , choose how you brand it , but their is no avoiding it. Prior to embarking upon your mission of vengeance , first dig 2 graves. The really insidious part is that God's bill's don't come due at months end ! I have gotten my just deserts 5 years , or more later ! Still , we all roll the dice ! My Grandfather used to say " don't get mad;dont get even; get what you want . How ? This dance of blind reflex has been playing for eons; and we ain't got A solution yet . As long as interest holders permit " divide and conquer " tactics to keep them off-balance , under control , the waltz continues !

Well ........ Many drivers express A desire to have their employers ( trucking companies
) alter certain aspects of their behaviour, e.g. how they treat their drivers. The point is, we are only capable of changing our own behaviour . We can't change anyone elses, UNTIL we change our own ! Keep doing what you have always done; keep getting what you have always gotten ! If you want to see A man's future , you need only study his past.........goes for trucking companies . If A sizeable portion of drivers solidified , organized , took A stance , "then" that would force the employers to change ( something ) , maybe fire everybody , but they would be obliged to react. No change on the part of employees , no reaction from employers ! A man must act his way into A new way of thinking, because it is not possible to think his way into A new way of acting. Realistically we all know what happened to the Teamsters Union ( but not Jimmy ) , and that human nature being what it is , solidarity probably ain't gonna' happen. The risk is too great; or is it ? History is A seamless series of causes and effects; the past , the present and the future , inexorable.......ya' can't adjust it ! It flows ! I have seen , personally , 2 small trucking companies fire everybody and sell off the capital when an attempt was made to organize. Just sayin' , it's like the " Tiger by the tail " metaphor........

 

Hey guys! Reading this chat here and it's nothing new to me. I've had plenty of pain in the butt people not pay me or just try to negotiate my price down to almost nothing. Do they not understand how much diesel is, or how much my truck and insurance payments are? People are insane to treat us like this.

 

There is actually a resource for drivers to use in scenarios just like this. There is a website to blacklist people like this. You can post people anonymously and tell the story just like what is being done here. The website also provides a way to get the money that someone owes you (without setting their car on fire) lol. I've used it a few times and I highly recommend it.
