Came back from tah, nat 1600... No load until 1600 next day sitting in indy...

 

I just got home today after about 2.5 weeks out. Dropped my truck off at the Freightliner Dealer to have them look at the OnGuard system which seems to have a short in it somewhere. Also having them look at the Predictive Cruise since I've had a CEL on for about 3 months for it. They said they could look at the Predictive Cruise some time tonight or tomorrow but the OnGuard issue wouldn't be touched until Monday because not many people in their shop know a whole lot about it. As such I had to have my load relayed because it was supposed to deliver 100 miles away by 10AM on Monday but I wouldn't even be sure if I will have my truck back by then. NAT right now is set for Tuesday at Noon. Hopefully they get it fixed up on Monday.

As for my Job App. Maverick is all set. My background/MVR and employment history are all good. All they need now is for SNI for respond to the fax they sent asking about my employment here. I'm wondering how much longer until word makes it's way down the chain to my DBL that I've applied for a new job. They sent the fax 2 days ago and at 1300 today they still hadn't received a response. Hopefully they hear back some time next week.

 

Well, I called in an explained things to the DBL and he agreed with my logic and turned into a relay so I'll be going home. Still blows though but $60 for two days is better then $60 for 3 LOL I hope they have local drivers at the OC because if a OTR guy gets saddled with this load its to not going be good.

I've been off the cancer sticks for over 35 years - and, at times, believe it or not, I can feel my nerves start to want to use the muscles to grab cigarettes that once were within reach, i.e., after sex, heavy meals, some drinking, and so on. The body is an amazing piece of machinery. LOL!!!

Currently sitting at the OC in French Camp CA, trying to set up a relay to drop this load here. It doesn't deliver until tomorrow morning and is a 3 stop delivery. Don't want to sit here all day waiting when I can drop this load and keep moving.

 

It would be great if Schneider worked that way. Those loads should get relayed and given to the daycab drivers.
