Only thing I came here to say is zipcode to zipcode should be banned. Companies aren't charging their customers the same way we are getting paid ! I don't pick my load up at the post office so why should I get paid this way .

I think that's a great idea, Bumpy. It won't get many views here in The Welcome Wagon - already up 10 hours now and not any votes. Let's go ahead and move it so that he can get more votes and input.

If companies aren't billing city to city (zip to zip), how are they billing then?

No matter how you look at it,trucking pay sucks.I'm to the point finding a non trucking job.Guess compan ies as well as the law thinks trk drivers don't work hard enough to deserve a decent pay.

companies bill zip to zip. MOSTLY.

drive gets shortest minus 25 percent pay.

for instance, my last company paid car shortest miles. on a certain trip. and that route took you through yellowstone. where trucks aren't allowed. and all the other mountain passes. while the actual truck route is an extra 150 miles and sticks to the freeway.

I'm happy enough with what I've made in 2012. (Hint) Over $50,000 and yet under $60,000. Took time off during Summer...Lions and Tigers and....Oh Well. Yup. Company. (course) :)

Don't like what I posted above. The point I am trying to get across is I think anything over $40,000 a year Trucking is a hell of a lot better than say a $12 an hour factory job,$14 an hour labor job whatever.

What I will NEVER understand is if someone has 'paid their dues' sort of speak..Has a presentable MVR, work history etc., why not go out and find your niche in Trucking and get paid what you think your worth? I care not what anyone says-it can still be done.

Or one can keep complaining about things I suppose...Do as you will/want.

By banning I'm assuming you mean, the government making it illegal?.

If so I would be against that.
Government should stay out of business.
And Drivers should pick their Employers more wisely.
