Is your cooland levelup all the way?

    Are BOTH heater hoses hot?

Are the taps open going to the heater core?

what truck ya driving? if it is a Int we had a flap under the pass seat, that would not open ( or close) to allow heat to cab. The bunk heat worked 100% at the same time

I read in LandLine that there is sometimes a valve to stop coolant from getting to the heater core. It was intended to increase air conditioning performance in summer months.

What make, model and year truck do you have?

Yea, theres like a spicket that you turn on the side of the Engine. like the other Driver said, they close it for the Summer Months.

it's supposed to help with a/c efficiency. but every truck i've been in seems to blow 3 -5 degrees cooler with the valves on.

dn't ask my why that is. but idon't shut em off anymore.

it's also a pain when you go from one extreme to the other to keep turning off and on and back again. south to the north and back south again.

Not on a Macks, the A/C will barely work at all if you leave the valves open.

Like the others have said, look for a little spigot like handle on the hoses that you see running into the firewall.

Sometimes there are 2 spickets on the engine, or under the hood.

Another tip - if you can't shut the heat off in the summer "close the spicket"
