You really ought to self educate more about the pro's and con's of each before jumping in head first.

Please hit the search function on TTR and look into it and the costs / headaches / red tape associated with it before ASSUMING anything. More than likely you will be surprised, maybe not though. Quite possibly 500 threads on this topic - I would read everyone of them, then ask any remaining questions.

truckermike these individuals ae giving you great advice.Switching from company driver to O/O myself was a very difficult road to travel. I've known some friends that have leased purchase their trucks with companies. It wasn't their best experience. I've also spoken to some out on the road which have had great experiences. Who knows if their telling it staight up. Educating yourself is the best approach. Believe only what is in black and white, maybe blue.

The water indeed fine, just beware of the pesky sharks and piranha.

if you at this point dont know what leasing to a company entails, you are in no way ready for your own authority.

you need to do more research before you are ready to even buy a truck and lease to a company.

great advice for you so far. dont become another statistic for not making it

i understand that completely, i just want you to understand how much you have to learn, not just about trucking, but business principles also.

thats often overlooked, many great truckers are poor businessmen.
