Mark, here's an update on my situation;
I still get the dirt-road warning quite a lot. Sometimes it throws the warning when just starting a trip. Most of the time it is sporadic, no real reason for it.
I still do not get my Driver Day (11 hr) warning or the 14 hr warning. I have my warnings set to visual, and those 2 warnings set at 1 hr prior.
I've noticed that the driving speed warning for some reason changed from the even number (5.00, or 6.00) mph over to 5.999 or 6.999, well it did while it was in my truck. I was going to grab a screenshot, and found that it was displaying the even numbers again. Don't know what was going on with it while in my truck.
Finally when I plug the unit into my PC I'm getting the following MS Windows message. I did not do the scan this time.
Every time I remove the unit, I always use the Safely Remove Hardware to stop it first. Must be something quirky MS is seeing.
Well, well, well, the speed warning done it again. Unplugged it from my PC, and just for grins and giggles, checked to see if it was displaying correctly. Nope, so I grabbed a screenshot.
While I was there, I grabbed the screenshot I had of the dirt-road pop-up.

I had a LOT of "dirt road" warning this last trip.
I drove US95 in Idaho. It would NOT route me down this even though Idaho does allow trucks on it with an Overlength permit.Mark Kling Thanks this. -
After screwing around with it, I figured it out. In order for the 720 to hotspot with the iphone, you have to change the phone's name. The 720 does not seem to like any special characters in the phone name. For example my phone used to be named "Cbones' iPhone". Now I went in and changed the phones name to just "Cbones" (without the quotes), and it connects fine. I am not sure if the space character or the apostrophe was throwing it off, but now it will work fine.

Mark,
I am unable to get the dock to come up on my computer. Never happened before. I connect the gps to the computer and the gps says it is connected. However when I double click on the dock to load it nothing comes up. I see no indication that it is running in task manager, either in applications or processes. I do have the auto play window come up allowing to look at the files on the gps.
I have tried removing the program and reinstalling it to no avail.
I have a toshiba laptop running windows 8.
Thanks,
