orientation on the 28th...let me ask you all a question...on the road test...i know they will have 53 foot trailers...i started out on the wal mart acct with schnieder back in 2005 and ran them for six months.....ive been running nothing but flatbed since..48 footers...any advice for the roadtest? im probably just overthinking this, i mean its only an extra 5 feet...come on drivers, make me feel better lol...

Are you seriously worried about trailer length? 7 years exp? I don't think I'd worry about it too much unless you don't think you can do it!? In that case 10/200.

The fundamentals of turning don't change with trailer length. And if you've been running 48 foot flats, chances are your tandems have always been pretty far back (or maybe split). You will NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEM. Yes, you are overthinking this. I recognize the the symptoms!

There. Now go and feel better! :biggrin_2559:

I'm sure you flat was a spread so therefor theres nothing to worry about. Van- reefer a lot easier to back. Don't worry! Be happy! Lol

My miles have been consistent since I started at Crete in 2008. 2008-120000, 2010-126000, 2011-125500 and 2012-125600. In 2010 I stayed out more, but the last 2 years I pretty much was out 21-23 days and home for 3-4, plus my 2 weeks vacation.
I've heard a lot of the bad stories, but haven't experienced a lot of them. My truck has managed to stay out of the shop for the most part. Probably had cost me around 3 weeks of driving over the 3 years I've had it. I'd have to go through my logs to see for sure. I might do that tonight out of curiosity.
I hope things get better for everyone.

    FFE Driver Thanks this.
