Sitting at my reciever in Denver...(yep again).....got to call doug in the morning...both my trailer airlines sprung leaks on the way out here....I am thinking its due to the cold....I noticed they were hissing when I stopped at a rest area in Colorado...must've developed the leak sometime between fueling and getting out here cause they weren't leaking when I stopped in sioux city....luckily my the aircompressor could keep up......its brutally cold out here tonight...all of a couple degrees....brrrrrrr

I've had that problem before in cold like that, usually it was the grommets that were leaking. On my final stop for this load out of edinburg, barely enough time for the first drop, then the 2nd drop in wixom was just a few miles away but didn't delivery until the next morning, and the shipper is fining drivers for not including a temp recorder print out, but the consignee or lumper service have no idea what im talking about, looks like i'll be in for a fight over this one.

My last two loads out of Edinburgh didn't have temp recorders in the trailer. I notated it on the bills both times.

Hey Mushroom, was one of your stops last week at Unified Western Grocers in Tukwila? I've got to be there Wednesday and I'm trying to get a feel for the joint since my last stop doesn't come off in Kent until about 6 hours later, hoping they let me hang out there once I'm done so I can actually do something after the last stop. I don't know about you guys but all I've had for the last two weeks is either a crosswind or headwind no matter where I go. My fuel mileage has not topped 6 mpg the whole time I've had it.

Husker can't help you brother haven't been to that one. Hope everything works out for you.

Anybody know what's usually the load offers out of Menominee, MI just across the state line of Wisconsin?? I know there's the stuff out of Brillion but anything else?? is it possible I'll deadhead back to East Dubuque?? Curious....
-
Menominee Michigan or Wisconsin....out of wisconsin...I would say your more than likely to take a Menards load.....there are a few papermills up in michigan...
I am sitting in Emporia after picking up in Holcomb...ran into snow repeatedly....I swapped the loaded trailer to another driver going to PA with it....Davids gonna hook me up with a load someone is bringing from Kansas city..going to front royal...I don't know if I can be out east anymore after running around in the west for the last few months....LOL....I was beginning to believe there was nothing east of chicago....

If you're in Menominee you'll more than likely go to Escanaba, MI, Hermansville, MI or possibly both to load going back to Spencer, IA. Both places are really good about loading promptly. If you're out of hours you can park along the tree line in Escanaba and there is a little truck stop in Hermansville up the street from the shipper. There is also a good chance you could go down to Green Bay too. Well ####, guess I'll just have to make it up as I go then! Had a nice drive over to Post Falls this morning with minimal snow but the roads were still covered from the little cell that came through last night, but best of all NO WIND!!!!!!! Idaho really shot their wad this morning on their sand budget, it was like driving on the beach on Lookout.

Sitting in sheldon, have to pick up in storm lake and head to wilmington,il, delivery appointment ain't until mid afternoon, but hoping i can park there early so i can get my 8 in for the sleeper, then they want me to get into east dubuque that evening, but the delivery appointment it around 3, the next pickup is at 8 that evening, and the shipper is 200 miles away. Do these people always think we get unloaded instantly or something? I was going to ask about it, and possibly spending my 10 at a nearby fuel stop so i can start fresh near the shipper, when a couple of people in the dispatch room jumped down my throat telling me "no! You will fuel HERE!" When i didn't even mention fueling! Is it me or do i detect a hostility toward drivers in general in that place? I think when i get back east I'll be glad to get home and get out of the truck for a day, lol.
