Yeah, the money is not the issue, it's the stupidity I gave in to that bothers me. Good to know about CSA as mine is clean, as of this morning.

Psh, whenever I call my boss and ask if I should scale a load, he tells me to 'just run with it, I'll pay the fine if it's not right. Don't worry about it'. Sometimes I scale it anyway so I can file it away in my head and be more confident about whether or not any particular load configuration is legal.

Same as me driver. I was 700 over on my drives last night. They let me pull around too with no ticket. I was76700 and had a load of dog food loaded heavy in the front of the trailer. I was one hole away from being slide all the way to the front.

Va is one of the better states regarding over axle weights. The only time they wont let you adjust the tandem is if your'e hauling a hazmat load.

Bottom line; make sure your axle weights are legal before crossing a scale especially when pulling a hazmat load. Been there done that got the ticket to prove it too.

Why would you get fired for something that doesn't even count against you or the company and is generally not that expensive? Even California doesn't cost all that much for an over axle. If you paid for it yourself, I don't see the problem. Not that I disagree with the method, I always weigh loads when the weight of the product gets over a certain amount, but this just makes no sense.
