Can someone pass along some good contact information for FRE? The number listed on various websites keeps ringing through with a busy signal. My gratitude is yours...

Thanks for prompt reply. Looking for either a website for further research and possible application. Would be nice to actually speak to a person whom can shed some light on the possibility of coming on-board. Blocked from responding via PM at this time...

My crazy weekend, Started off before Friday but lets get to the funnier stuff starting with Albuquerque, NM. got to a Frow store and after stopping in the back noticed immediately I had a air leak. Go inspect and see the spring has rubbed a hole in the air line chaffing about 6 inches of it. I called TA service and a guy that looked just like FREAKSHOW from Harold and Kumar comes out and talks, walks and acts just like him. (no joke) By that time it was late and the elevation and time zone change was kicking my butt so I just want to sleep as soon as he is done. Next morning, Unload and reciever tells me that there is water on alot of the packaging and that someone wrote in black marker inside trailer 183 about it leaking around the lights. I seen alot of wet cardboard too. Go to Utility across street and reseal roof. Upon Efons recommendation on my next load I run the reefer and head up north.
The weather on 285N in NM is very cautious as to ice and snow build up and high wind. I decided to shut it down in Amasola next to walmart as it was getting dark and I am not familiar with the area. I then end up waking up freezing as my apu shut down while sleeping. It took me almost and hour for the tractor to warm itself up and shaking go away. I slept terrible the next few hours. I get out of bed at 0630 and roll to shipper by 7 arrive just before 8 and notice a truck stuck in loading ramp due to ice and snow!! I am surprised Colorado has good work ethic in clearing roads without salt!!! Except everything not on a main road is 3 inches of ice or snow or both. BTW, its -45 degrees according to shipper. My nasal drains turned to ice shards cutting my nose inside instantly. I get loaded in less than 30 minutes. WOW impressed. I tried to set tandems and use my pressure plate to assist but not able to due to ice.
Roll down road to find this scale called Pepper Equipment.
This was a do it yourself scale with a dial up pay by CC then scale (unmanned). I scale and find myself over GVWR at 81,040. I roll back to shipper and remove 1 pallet great, still out in 15 mins. Scale again and 34,550 on tandems. I pull out in middle turn lane as there is no other place anywhere to set the tandems. There is no traffic and its 2 lanes each way north and south with a turn lane. I move the tandems to what I think will be perfect do a loop from another parking lot and then proceed to scale and get beat by another truck. I reach him on the radio after sitting there several minutes and advise him to pull off to side and see how it works as its not a typical scale I have ever used. After 15 minutes I scale 34,000 on tandems. I assist this guy a little further and pull out into turn lane to ensure my tandems are locked as the cold weather has made everything move slow. Less than 2 mins maybe even one minute I push brakes off in gear and check my mirrors when I notice a cop running up the side of my truck. He asks "why am I parked in Center lane? " I then proceed to tell this Trooper that everything off the sides of roads is a sheet of ice and the tandems can not be locked or slid properly. He then states " You truckers just think you can park your truck anywhere you want and your going to get a ticket" I stated to him this is the only place this can be done and I am not trying to disrespect any rules, laws, regulations or even him. I am not like those other drivers and have more class than that. He asks for all the normal info. I decide to take photos of the current existing conditions in case I need to fight this in court. He advises me I need to get back into my truck during this stop. Ok no problem, please call your supervisor also maybe he will understand the conditions.
In 10 mins the supervisor shows up and we discuss the conditions and he states I am not the one that pulled you over, he was a SGT the other trooper was a Rookie. He says I should of found a shoulder. This was my first time ever being in Monte Vista. All you could see was a curb with a snow bank on top no shoulders and if there was that was ice covered too. The supervisor would not advise or discuss or recommend any other place to safely do this.
I get two write ups one is Colorado State Patrol says written " Stopped or Parked Vehicle on paved portion of Highway" There is no points for this as there is not a moving violation. I believe a shoulder could also be a paved portion of the highway also??? Anyone?
Next is the Commercial Driver Examination report for a Level 3 inspection. Says 392.2 parked on paved portion of highway also. I did not see anywhere in the CSA2010 where the point system on this is located?? anyone??? I respect LEO, LAWS, rules and regulation and first in safety as its a lifestyle not just a job in my opinion. I am irritated for trying to do the right thing helping the fellow driver at the scale to interpret how to use it and just the sense of using the middle turn lane and not a driving lane. A shipper directly across the street couldn't even believe I received a ticket when taking many photos of the icy conditions. What a waste of time. When driving through Oklahoma dont even bother stopping at the Indian Casinos as they do not even know if they have football on or even TV's. At least my Falcons won, even though they should have not as bad as they played the second half. Your thoughts? Friendly please? -
FROW Drivers need to be aware that NM scales will not be letting us drive through without buying a permit each and every time you come through NM. I got hit up for 18.50 to drive 87 miles across. I mark know but I am sure he is up to his ears busy.
RunninThru48 Thanks this. -
Whats with all the Broker loads? Did we lose Tyson?
-
Unloaded my JBS Swift load early. Had a 0100 appointment tomorrow morning. Called the receiver, Boars Head in Holland, MI, and they are a FCFS operation. They unload raw product 2230 - 1500 the next day. Now I'm empty and waiting for a load. I was hoping I would get something so I can move out of this area today. They are expecting snow here tomorrow.
-
After unloading yesterday got this GREAT LOAD PU in Fort Worth today going to Pearl Ms.
Can't PU until 2p.
And the Broker yesterday tried to offer me another load, should have asked him what it was maybe it was a better load.
I told him to talk to whoever he talked to at FRE .
