Question on Employment Record

    Hey all,

    I have already applied to have my report from HireRight.com sent to me. But I am worried it does not include my employment history. Due to call center work I have had quite a few jobs over the last 3 to 5 years and I don't have the records of the employers anymore (lost the file I kept everything in during a move) so I was wondering if anyone knew of any free ways to obtain an employment history (Name and Dates, I can find numbers and everything else myself if needed).

    Yeah, they can do it but for a 3 year record it's something like 20 bucks and their website says it takes up to 4 months...... I might have to just go ahead and do that though.

    I think your only other option is to recall where you worked and contact them for the dates.

    Better option = Call the IRS and get them to send you your 1099s/W-2s from those years. IRS = One stop center for employment verification on any job you ever worked since you first started working. They are also a great resource if one or more of your previous employers don't exist anymore.

    Like Ghost rider said call the irs and get copies of your w-2 or 1099 that will be sufficient for employment verification, if your like me and keep all your tax records you shouldn't even have to call. Any points of unemployment some companies will work with you need to submit a letter stating why you were unemployed and usually affidavits from people who knew you weren't just sitting on your ars lol
